Redditch United sign ex-Premier League forward, Stefan Moore

Former Villa frontman joins The Reds

Stefan Moore

Stefan Moore

The 34-year-old trained with The Reds on Tuesday evening, before putting pen-to-paper on a deal with the club until the end of the 2018/19 season. Moore is available to play against AFC Rushden & Diamonds in the Evo-Stik South – Premier Division Central opening fixture on Saturday

Moore’s reputation and pedigree in the game is clear, boasting a career that started by scoring on his Premier League debut as an 18-year-old and representing England’s youth teams. He is prolific at non-league level, scoring 68 league goals in 80 appearances for St Neots Town and 24 in 42 for Leamington.

Redditch United Manager, Paul Davis, believes Moore is a “magnificent capture” for the football club and will prove to be a “game-changing” addition to the squad:

“Stefan’s abilities, both on and off the pitch, will be invaluable for us. He is an intelligent frontman; his movement is terrific and boasts a goal record that will worry opposition defenders throughout the league.
