Robbie Nightingale, manager of Evo-Stik Southern League Division One Central club Cambridge City, has signed defender Joe Robinson from Bostik League Premier side Bishop's Stortford.
Robinson, 22, is the brother of current City right-back, Ben. He made 44 appearances for the Blues last season, scoring on 5 occasions.
Robinson started out as a youth with Ipswich Town and went on to captain their under-18 and under-21 teams.
He then had loan spells with Woking, Boston United and St Albans City before signing for Bishop's Stortford last season.
The new signing will join the rest of the City squad as they continue to make preparations for the season opener with Corby Town on Saturday.
