Moles sign two

Into squad

Scott Reynolds, manager of Evo-Stik Southern League Division One Central club Aylesbury FC, has completed two new signings ahead of tomorrow's home game with win-less Kidlington

Jordan Frederick and Martin Griggs have both joined the Moles squad.

Frederick is a hard-working, tough tackling central midfielder who joins from league rivals Berkhamsted, for whom has played over 130 games.

His other previous clubs include Leverstock Green, Hemel Hempstead Town, Aylesbury United and Egham Town.

Griggs is already known to the Moles fans and is a striker who can play wide or in behind also.

Locally, the highest goalscorer over previous seasons playing for Risborough Rangers.

Transferring from North Leigh where he has scored 5 goals already this term.

He was with the Moles for a short spell under Danny Gordon but left to play for Scott Reynolds at Leighton Town where he scored 14 goals in 20 appearances at Step 5.

Reynolds told the club`s website: “We have been in the market for an additional experienced central midfield player all season. Lewis Strafford and Carl Tappin have both been doing a fantastic job in there so far, but I cannot expect them to play every minute of every game, they will burn out at some point and their quality will start to suffer.

“The forward shirts are always up for grabs, I have told all players playing in those positions that they have to be on form to play. The wide player's jobs are to create and the central players to score, quite simple for me if the form dips then the team changes to get the flare and energy back. That said we need good options to keep everyone on their toes, so Martin is a healthy addition at a good time”.
