Farnborough get their man

Striker returns

Farnborough Football Club announces the sale of Connor Calcutt to Hendon for an undisclosed fee and the return of striker Pat Cox.
On Calcutt’s move, Manager Spencer Day explained: “Out of the blue we were approached by Hendon whether we would sell Connor and it soon became apparent that it was a deal that worked very well for everyone.

“Connor is a fantastic lad and will I’m sure do well at Hendon which is also much nearer his home. We shall miss him and thank him for the 18 months he’s been here and wish him all the very best.

An experienced arrival upfront is 29-year-old striker Pat Cox. Day commented: “The return of Coxy has been on the cards for some time and there is no doubt he’s desperate to get the Boro shirt back on again!

“He’ll have to fight for his place for sure after spending some time at lower levels but I know our fans will be delighted with his return.

“On top of which the exciting signing of Andrew Sealey-Harris from Wolves, as the emergence of young Connor Cullen gives us plenty of competition for places up front, with the returning Perry Coles.

“Finally we have added 18-year-old Imran Uche from Fleet to our squad. 6’4 centre-half Imran is one for the future but I am delighted he’s agreed to join our ranks.”
