Tom Meechan had a day to remember as he hit four of Merthyr`s six goals at Wheatsheaf Park against a now second-bottom Staines Town.

Meechan`s opening two came in the 13th and 16th minutes, with Craig McDonnell adding a third on 21 minutes.

Tom Gogo pulled one back 6 minutes later and then eventually Staines made it 2-3 with 11 minutes to go through Andy Ali.

But Meechan completed his hat-trick in the 80th minute, Ian Traylor made it 5-2 less than 3 minutes later and Meechan made it six 3 minutes into stoppage time.
