Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division South club Weymouth have signed striker Yemi Odubade from Vanarama National League South side Eastbourne Borough on a permanent basis on a deal until the end of the season.
The deal to sign Odubade has arisen through the `Wessex Fantasy Football` initiative, with fans dipping into their own pockets to help fund the players’ deal.
Odubade re-signed for Eastbourne in the summer of 2017.
He grew up in Eastbourne, attending school in the town and first joined Eastbourne Town, where he was prolific in the Sussex County League, scoring 64 goals in 85 games.
This caught the attention of Yeovil Town who signed him in 2004, but he came back to Eastbourne after signing for Boro in 2005.
During a FA Cup First Round appearance and replay against Oxford United, he caught the eye of the U`s manager, who signed him shortly afterwards.
He made 135 appearances for Oxford, scoring 29 goals before going on to play for Stevenage, Gateshead, Eastleigh and Maidstone United.
