Dorchester Town manager Callum Brooks felt his side’s unforgettable 7-1 thrashing of Merthyr Town went “beyond” the definition of a good night.
Brooks, overseeing just his second game as boss, watched on as Dorchester battered the Martyrs, scoring four goals in the space of 10 minutes late in the game.
Speaking to Echosport, Brooks could not hide his delight, saying: “I’ve had worse nights!
“I couldn’t be more pleased. The lads were excellent again. We went there with a disciplined gameplan.
“We knew if we did the ugly stuff right we’d get opportunities with the quality we’ve got in the group and the lads executed it to a tee, which has resulted in a very good night for the club.
“This is one of the toughest places to come, so if you come up here and pick up a result you would’ve had a good night. As it went on, it’s gone beyond that.
