Marine will be looking to gain revenge on Casuals after a limp display saw them beaten 3-1 in Surrey back in September during the Webbswood Stadium outfits dreadful start to the campaign.
Now looking to secure a mid-table finish, Spalding says three points on Saturday will be vital as games are fast running out.
He said: “I was impressed with Walton when we played them at their place.
“They passed the ball really well and, in the first half, they gave us a little bit of a run around.
“On the day, we were poor, and we didn’t really get going. It was one of those games where we under-performed a little bit on the day and didn’t have enough players on it.
“We’ll be looking to make sure we put that right on Saturday, at home, in front of our own fans.
“It’s a good opportunity to put on a good performance and get the three points, because they’re vital now.”
With his new signings settling in well, Spalding believes his squad is beginning to take shape as a more realistic run at the play-offs becomes the aim for next season.
But for now, the Marine manager knows ensuring their safety is a priority and is aware that Walton will be far from a pushover as they have their own relegation fight to win.
Spalding said: “The performance at Weymouth was another really good performance and there were loads of positives to take from it.
“If we perform at that level again, I’m confident we’ll get a result.
“But it’s not going to be a game where we’re just going to turn up and it’ll happen because they’re fighting for their lives down there trying to stay in the league.
“They’re one place above the relegation zone and a win to them would be vital in their bid to survive, but if we beat them and Gosport win then they are in trouble.
“They’ll come to us with every intention of getting something from the game, so we’ll have to be at our best level to pick up three points.”
