Manager Danny Greaves was delighted as his Robins side collected all three points on the opening day after a hard-fought but deserved 1-0 victory over Highworth Town. Returning debutant Will Hailston, who had been prolific in pre-season, scored the only goal of the game at The Save-On-Tyres Stadium to give The Robins the spoils.
Greaves said: "Naturally, I'm very pleased that to get our first win and 3 points on the board on the opening day. "As expected, it was a tough game but I was really happy with the football we played and the chances we created.
"On another day we could have scored a few more, but their keeper was outstanding and deservedly won the man of the match, and I am sure with more games under our belts we will be converting more of those chances. "As we all know when you don't take those chances the game can become tense, the opposition takes more risks, but I felt we dealt with that extremely well. "I thought 1 to 11, plus the lads who game on were superb and all carried out what was asked of them.
"We will need that, and we will need the whole squad over the course of a long season. Today was proof of how tough and competitive this league will be.
