High flying Pics travel to Top Field

The Canaries are tough at home

High-flying Pics head to Hitchin Town on Saturday looking to extend our positive start to the season. Seven points from the opening three League games, during which time we have scored ten goals, sees Liam McDonald’s side sit in second place in the early table.

Meanwhile, Hitchin is searching for their first win of the campaign. “Hitchin are always tough opponents, especially at home,” admitted McDonald. “We’ve done our homework on them and we know that it will be a hard-fought encounter, but one that we go into full of confidence.

“We’re getting good team performances at the moment because the lads are really buying in to what we are trying to achieve here “Last Saturday’s performance in the 6-0 victory over Leiston would rank up there as one of our best displays since I have been at the club, but we’re not getting too carried away.

“We’ve put ourselves into a good position with the start that we have made to the season, but there are some tough challenges to come and a busy weekend with two games in quick succession.”
