IAN Long admits he's facing a Stourbridge selection dilemma after his fringe players impressed during this week's Southern League Challenge Cup clash at Rushall Olympic. The Glassboys lost 3-2 on Tuesday night but it was the performances of those that came into the side that caught the manager's eye.
Stour made 10 changes to the team that beat Bromsgrove Sporting in the first qualifying round of the FA Cup last Saturday. Among those to feature at the Pics were former Halesowen right-back Enock Ekongo, centre back Alex Foreshaw and former QPR youngster Chay Tilt, who is the nephew of Blackpool's former Yeltz defender Curtis Tilt. Attackers Aaron Lloyd, Andre Landel and Kieran Cook and goalkeeper Charlie Price also gave game time.
Long said: "It was a really good work out for a lot of players and I was really pleased with how we did after making 10 changes.
"We have players like Mitch Botfield, Tom Tonks and Brad Birch who are coming back from injury and also took the chance to have a look at a few others who are with us on a trial basis. "We got to look at Enock Ekongo and Alex Foreshaw and they both did well.
"I thought the players certainly gave me something to think about. I have a bit of a selection headache now.
