Merthyr Town take on the Generals

Trick fixture for Marthyrs

Gavin Williams’ side will be looking to maintain their 100%-win streak at home when James Duncan’s side make the long trip to Merthyr Tydfil.

We face a Chesham United side that has started the season well and sit fourth in the BetVictor Southern League Premier South after six league games. Last time out they defeated newly promoted side Backfield & Langley at The Meadow.

Meanwhile, we will be looking to secure our fourth consecutive victory after last week’s 1-0 win over Plymouth Parkway thanks to a late strike from Ian Traylor that sealed a place in the 2nd qualifying round of the Emirates FA Cup.

Last season saw us cement a 1-0 win at The Met Coaches Stadium against The Generals with the only goal coming from Kerry Morgan.

Speaking ahead of the game, Manager Gavin Williams said: “It’s going to be another tough game. We’ve got to make sure we are ready because the minute you drop your standards you're going to become unstuck. Hopefully, the boys will have re-charged their batteries ahead of another big test tomorrow”.
