AFC Totton v Thatcham Town

Thatcham hit six past AFC Totton to move back to the top of the Southern League Division One South. It took 31 minutes for the Kingfishers to break the deadlock. Felipe Barcelos muscled his way onto a high ball from Curtis Angell before getting the ball out of his feet and calmly slotting into the bottom corner.

Kyle Tooze doubled the lead shortly before half time, racing onto a through ball from Felipe Barcelos and bundling home despite the Totton keeper Alex Cull getting a hand to it.

The game was over as a contest minutes into the second half when George Jeacock got clear down the right and put in a perfect cross for Felipe Barcelos to tap in at the far post for his second and Thatcham's third.

Matt Partridge added a fourth on 66 minutes with a fine effort, controlling a high ball before blasting a half volley in off the far post from just outside the box.

Thatcham were in full control and starting to find gaping holes in the Totton defence. On 69 minutes James Tennant got on the scoresheet finding space in the box to confidently finish a flowing passing move.

George Jeacock rounded off the scoring on 74 minutes blasting low across goal and into the corner to finish off another good passing move from the visitors.

Totton rarely threatened with Matt Day dominant at the back, but Archie Matthews in the Thatcham goal made a good late save to ensure the clean sheet. Saving low to his right to keep out a firmly hit free kick from Adam McWilliam.

A dominant performance on the road from the Kingfishers which sees them return to the top of the table.
