Wellingborough Town`s 6-2 home hammering by an impressive Deeping Rangers outfit in the Uhlsport United Counties League Premier Division was achieved WITHOUT the Lincolnshire club`s top scorer!
Deeping`s 20-goal striker Jordan Macleod had left the club the day before to join the Doughboys former tenants AFC Rushden & Diamonds. The 23-year-old was also on dual forms with Diamonds` BetVictor Southern League Premier Division Central rivals Peterborough Sports but had scored 20 goals in 16 games for Rangers. He also played for Peterborough Northern Star earlier in his career.
