Tamworth v Lowestoft Town

Tamworth FC - Lambs Media

Tamworth stretched their lead at the top of the BetVictor Southern League Premier Division Central table to three points on Saturday after they beat Lowestoft Town 4-1 and second-placed Banbury United could only draw at Rushall Olympic.

In front of a decent crowd of 593 at The Lamb, Ryan Beswick gave the home side a great start with a goal inside the opening 3 minutes. Beswick then doubled Tamworth`s lead 6 minutes later, with Malachi Linton reducing the deficit for the struggling Trawler Boys right on the stroke of half-time. But within 2 minutes of the restart, Tyrell Waite restored the Lambs` two-goal advantage and 4 minutes later it was 4-1 through Rhys Hoenes.
