Tiverton Town bitterly disappointed

Tiverton Town v Gosport Borough

Tiverton Town FC - Media Team

A lesson in how to be prolific. Three shots on target, three goals scored and Gosport Borough, at the seventh time of asking, racked up their first-ever victory over the Yellows, who were made to pay for their inability to put their chances away.

Tivvy went down to a 3-2 defeat at Ladysmead to a Gosport Borough side who are now sixth. The home side found themselves two-down at half-time, thanks to Charlie Kennedy after 16 minutes and Rory Williams 4 minutes later. And then Mike Carter made it 3-0 with less than 16 minutes remaining. Tiverton forced Boro `keeper Pat O`Flaherty into several decent saves but his clean sheet was spoiled as Steve Colwell on 80 minutes and then Josh Key in the 88th minute made it a nervy finale in the end.
