Blackfield and Langley bring in two

Squad boost

BetVictor Southern League Premier Division South club Blackfield & Langley have re-signed midfielder or striker Mitch Speechley-Price and taken Tom Hanfrey on `work experience`.

Speechley-Price returns to the Watersiders from Sydenhams Football League (Wessex) Premier side Brockenhurst. He was also in his second spell with the Badgers, having originally signed from Bashley. An exciting player with a lot of energy, the 21-year-old stepped up to the plate and started scoring goals and leading the line in his new striker position.

Hanfrey comes to Gang Warily on `work experience` from Premier League side AFC Bournemouth. The 19-year-old was born in London and was previously on the books at Millwall and Charlton Athletic before signing for the Cherries in 2017 following a successful trial. In 2018/19, he played his part as Bournemouth reached the quarter-final of the FA Youth Cup – the club’s best run in the competition for 50 years.

He was rewarded with his first professional contract after completing his two-year scholarship at the end of 2018/19. Hanfrey, who has trained with Eddie Howe’s first-team squad, is no stranger to the Southern League Premier South, having had previous loan spells with Poole Town and Farnborough.
