Hendon, whose new-look squad under Lee Allinson made it three games in league and cup unbeaten with a 2-1 success at Silver Jubilee park against poor travellers Merthyr Town. Shaun Lucien put the Greens in front after 35 minutes and a minute before the break, Liam Brooks added a second. Kieran Lewis `won` the second half for the Martyrs in the 54th minute, but the Welshmen weren`t able to find a leveller. That win pulled Hendon four points clear of the bottom two.
