Lowestoft Town v Rushall Olympic
The PIcs played out a goalless draw at Lowestoft Town
There was a bright start from The Pics as Levi Rowley linked up well with Alex Moore whose header was saved.
We came close on 22 minutes when a free-kick from Moore was delivered invitingly onto the head of Sam Whittall whose effort rattled the woodwork before being scrambled clear. Just before the half-hour, Danny Waldron did well as he cut inside and got in a low strike that was just wide of the target.
We were asking most of the questions during the opening period and Rowley was unlucky when he muscled his way through only for the ‘keeper to save his strike as we failed to make the breakthrough during the opening period The home side went close with a couple of free-kicks in quick succession, the second of which was well defended by Whittall.
As the clock ticked down, Shaquille Whittingham did well as he showed a good turn of pace before firing just over as this hard-fought encounter ended goalless.
