Taunton Town v Metropolitan Police

Taunton Town FC - Peacocks TV

A crowd of 540 at The Cygnet Health Care Stadium saw Taunton Town edge out Metropolitan Police by the odd goal in seven to move up to fourth, a point behind neighbours Tiverton Town but seven adrift of Truro. The healthy pre-Christmas crowd were royally entertained as Jamie Price put the Peacocks in front after 15 minutes, only for recent signing Lewis Beale to equalise 4 minutes later Rocky Neal restored Taunton`s lead on 24 minutes but the Met went into the break all-square, thanks to a Jack Mazzone leveller 3 minutes into first-half injury-time But goals from Matty Wright after 55 minutes and Neal again 8 minutes later stretched the home side`s lead to 4-2. Mazzone notched his second to seemingly make it a nervy finale with 6 minutes remaining. However, he made it a little less tense when he received a second yellow card in the 88th minute to see the Met end the game with ten-men!
