No mince pies for Barwell

Boxing Day - Local Derby

Coalville Town FC - Media Team

Coalville Town are back in the top five after they beat neighbours Barwell 4-1, knocking out Hednesford Town, who lost 1-0 in their local encounter at Dales Lane against Rushall Olympic. The home side took a 12th-minute lead from the penalty spot after Luke Shaw was fouled which Kairo Mitchell converted. And 6 minutes later, former Raven Jamie McAteer saw the ball cannon back off him and into his own net to double the hosts` lead. Another ex-Coalville player, Tolani Omotola, reduced the deficit for the Yellows on 35 minutes. However, 5 minutes after half-time, Mitchell`s second of the game extended Coalville`s lead to 3-1.

Barwell had a great chance to pull a second back shortly afterwards when they were awarded a penalty, but Brady Hickey`s effort was saved by Saul Deeney. And 12 minutes from time, Tom McGlinchey made sure the points stayed at home with a fourth.
