Hartley Wintney Football Club
Club Announcement
08 January 2020
Forward Mitchell Parker has re-signed for Hartley Wintney FC, having left the club in August. He came straight into the squad for the league game at Weston-Super-Mare on January 7th, making an appearance from the bench in the second half.
Mitch has spent time with Bracknell Town and Reading City after leaving The Row early into the season. The 25 year-old striker originally joined in December 2018 and contributed towards the team’s good second half to the 2018/19 campaign in the Southern League Premier South.
Mitchell's early football career included spells as an 18 year-old at Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City FC, before spending the 2013/14 season at Hayes and Yeading United. After playing in Portugal, he returned to the UK and signed for Hellenic League club Highmoor Ibis in 2015 (since renamed Reading City), where he spent three successful seasons. He joined Basingstoke Town in October 2018 from where he joined Hartley Wintney for his first spell with the North Hampshire club.
During last season, Mitchell also had the honour of captaining an ‘ambassadorial’ FA England squad in the Falkland Islands, scoring in one of two games played there.
