BetVictor Southern League Division One South club Basingstoke Town have re-signed striker Ben Dillon.
The now 31-year-old was previously with AFC Bournemouth during his youth and also represented Basingstoke as a 17-year-old.
He has also had spells with Hartley Wintney and Badshot Lea in both management and as a player as well as the likes of Thatcham Town and Fleet Town and re-joins `Stoke from Sydenhams Football League (Wessex) Premier side Bermerton Heath Harlequins.
Basingstoke manager Dan Brownlie “I’ve worked with Dills before. He’s a very talented football and we’re pleased to get him in. I learned of his availability some time ago now, but he’s worked incredibly hard over the course of the past few months to get fit.
“Being a Basingstoke boy, I know this club means a lot to him and he was very keen to get on board. He’s a great first touch and certainly knows where the goal is. It’s one of a few positions we’ve wanted to strengthen to allow us greater depth and wider choice.”
Dillon said: “I’m buzzing to get started. I feel fitter than ever and know I can offer this club something, I’m really keen to get help take this club forward. I’ve lived in Basingstoke all my life, so it means a lot to me that we get this club winning games and I’m proud to be a part of it”.
