Two Post Match Interviews

AFC Rushden & Diamonds - Media Team

Hednesford Town FC - Media Team

Not often do we get two manager's post-match views on the same match - judge for yourself.

Two teams battling to edge closer to the top five, AFC Rushden & Diamonds and Hednesford Town, shared a 1-1 draw at Hayden Road which leaves the hosts now in seventh place, two points behind Coalville, and the Pitmen in ninth, a point behind their Tuesday night hosts. It was an enthralling encounter for the 327 people in the ground, including former Rushden & Diamonds favourite and now Cardiff City`s Lee Tomlin.

The home side suffered a major blow though when, with only 3 minutes gone on the clock, Ben Acquaye was sent-off for an alleged elbow incident. Diamonds re-grouped and held firm until 2 minutes before half-time when Danny Glover converted at the second attempt after keeper Ben Heath had saved his initial effort. And the ten-men probably just about edged the second half and hit the woodwork. Then, with less than 3 minutes remaining, Tom Lorraine`s run ended with a cross for sub-Ryan Dove to net from close range.
