A big crowd is expected at Hayden Road as an AFC Rushden & Diamonds side currently sitting in the sixth spot, level on 49 points with fifth-placed Rushall Olympic, host leaders Tamworth.
Diamonds will be hoping to return to match action after two weeks of inactivity had been without a game last weekend before their encounter with third-placed Peterborough Sports was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch on Tuesday.
The Lambs have won their last four league games and lead the table by two points from Bromsgrove Sporting.
Tamworth joint-boss Gary Smith says his players are fully focused with the ‘end in sight’ in the BetVictor Southern Premier Central.
The Lambs – two points clear at the top of the table –make the journey to sixth-placed Rushden and Diamonds on Saturday. It’s the first of 14 games the Lambs have left and Smith said: “We are fast approaching the final hurdle now.
“The end is in sight and the question now is: ‘Can we sustain the form we have shown all season?
“The games will be coming thick and fast but the lads are focused."
Feel sure AFC Rushden & Diamonds have other ideas
