Corby Town Management Change

Interim manager appointed

BetVictor Southern League Division One Central promotion-chasers Corby Town have announced the departure of joint manager Ashley Robinson by mutual consent.

Robinson arrived at Steel Park as a player in January 2018 from Peterborough Sports. The holding midfielder was a league winner at this level in 2014/15 with Kettering Town and then again last year at Tooting & Mitcham United. Robinson has also featured at Brighton & Hove Albion, Leicester City, Quorn, Stamford AFC and Grantham Town.

After being Steve Kinniburgh`s player/assistant-manager, Robinson took over with Gary Mulligan, initially on an interim basis, on the departure of the manager in the summer of 2019. Mulligan has agreed to stay at Corby in a playing capacity.

Mark Peters will take over as manager until the end of the season.

Former Peterborough United, Mansfield Town, Rushden & Diamonds and Cambridge United defender Peters is no stranger to Steel Park, first as an assistant before taking temporary charge in 2013. He has also been a first-team coach at Cambridge United and assistant boss at St Albans City and coaches at the FCV International Football Academy in Stamford.
