The top two, Thatcham Town and Frome Town, are separated only on goal difference, with the Kingfishers having an 8-goal advantage.
Both have home games this weekend, with ninth-placed Evesham United visiting Waterside Park and third-bottom Moneyfields travelling to Somerset.
Thatcham ended a run of five games without a win with two wins and 12 goals scored against Basingstoke Town and Mangotsfield Town respectively.
Frome have also hit a little blip, drawing against Sholing and Paulton Rovers in their previous two outings.
Third-placed Larkhall Athletic are also on home soil on Saturday as bottom side Barnstaple Town come to Plain Ham – the Larks looking to consolidate their top five spot.
As are Winchester City, whose game against Cirencester Town is featured elsewhere on the website, and fifth-placed Melksham Town, who visit an AFC Totton side who are 16th.
Paulton Rovers could move into the top five if results go their way and they win at tenth-placed Sholing, who failed to win at Barnstaple last weekend in a goalless draw.
Cinderford Town could push to within a point of the play-off places if they win at Bideford AFC, who are 11th, while second-bottom Basingstoke will look to build on a point from last weekend`s 1-1 draw against Willand Rovers when they travel to Bristol Manor Farm, who haven`t won – or scored – in their last four matches.
Highworth Town welcome a Mangotsfield side who have failed to win in eight, and Willand Rovers entertain Slimbridge, who are three points and two places above them in the table.
