The Thame Football Partnership have announced that James Pritchard has been appointed as manager of Uhlsport Hellenic League Division One East club Thame Rangers.
Pritchard has solid managerial experience with Flackwell Heath as player-manager, Beaconsfield Town and latterly Penn & Tylers Green and Marlow United.
He found success at both Beaconsfield, where he led the club to its first-ever Berks & Bucks Senior Cup triumph as well as the Southern League Division One play-offs before taking a break from senior football, eventually joining up with Penn & Tylers Green where two successive Hellenic Division One titles were achieved during his three-year tenure.
As a player, Pritchard played for Wokingham Town, Flackwell Heath, Maidenhead United, Uxbridge, Slough Town and Marlow, for whom he made over 300 appearances while scoring in excess of 100 goals from the centre of midfield.
Pritchard will be assisted by another former manager, Giovanni Sepede, who was at the helm of Penn & Tylers Green for seven years, while Adam Dickens also joins as coach.
Senior side Thame United`s assistant manager Stuart Blaik told https://www.thamefootball.co.uk: “James has been brought on-board to further enhance the key relationships within the partnership between the senior side and the junior section."
"James’s knowledge and experience will be pivotal as we seek to bring Rangers closer to the first team and offer the perfect route for our young players into senior football”.
