Barker Coup For Moneyfields

Moneys sign ex-Brighton forward.

Southern League Division One South club Moneyfields have pulled off something of a coup by obtaining the signature of forward George Barker.

The 28-year-old arrives at Moneys from Southern Premier Division South neighbours Gosport Borough.

Barker re-joined Gosport from Staines Town in December 2018 having previously played for Boro in the 2015/16 season before moving to Havant & Waterlooville and then Salisbury.

He started out at Brighton & Hove Albion, for whom he made 4 first-team appearances, and Swindon Town, where he appeared 13 times, as well as having loan spells with Barnet, Newport County and Tranmere Rovers.
