Southern League Premier Division Central club Nuneaton Borough have re-signed experienced midfielder Carl Baker.

The 37-year-old helped Brackley Town reach the Vanarama National League North play-offs recently before leaving St James`s Park.

The attacking midfielder is a former Coventry City captain who joined Brackley from Nuneaton in January 2019 after spending some time in America.

He started out at Southport and then played for Morecambe before making a £175,000 move to Stockport County in the summer of 2008.

He signed for Coventry in January 2010 and spent four years with the Sky Blues, making over 150 appearances.

He signed for Indian Super League champions ATK but an injury in pre-season meant that he never played in Kolkota and he made a return to the Sky Blues in March 2018 before going on to have spells with MK Dons and Portsmouth.
