New Management Team at Biggleswade Town

Nunn shakes off `caretaker` tag.

Chris Nunn, manager of Southern League Premier Division Central club Biggleswade Town, has added to his management team with player-coach roles for Scott Davies and Russell Short and a return for goalkeeper coach Ian Brown.

Nunn has officially been re-appointed as manager following a lengthy spell as caretaker boss after the departure of Lee Allinson to Hendon last season.

Thirty-two-year-old Davies joined the Waders management team from Vanarama National League South side Slough Town, where he was a popular figure.

He had re-joined the Rebels in July 2019 from Isthmian South Central outfit Harlow Town, where he had been since March 2019.

He came through the youth systems at Watford and Wycombe Wanderers, before joining Reading's youth set-up where he went on to sign a professional deal.

He spent five years with the Royals, making 4 appearances in his time there, while he also spent time out on loan at Aldershot Town for two seasons, and he helped the Shots to the Conference title in 2008, winning promotion to the Football League.

Shorter loan spells at Wycombe and Yeovil Town followed, and when he was released by Reading in 2011, he joined Crawley Town.

He went on to feature for Dunstable Town, Wealdstone, Oxford City, Chelmsford City, before he moved to Slough for the first time in March 2018, aiding in their successful promotion to the National League South.

He left Slough to join Kingstonian at the start of February 2019 but left the K`s after a managerial change to join Harlow.

Short is a 31-year-old who returns for a third spell for the Waders, having played under Nunn in his previous period in charge.

Formerly with Ipswich Town, Wivenhoe Town, Histon and Bury Town, where he spent five seasons, making almost 200 appearances, he joined Biggleswade for the first time in 2013/14 before re-joining Bury.

A season with Hendon followed before he returned to Langford Road in 2016.

He left for St Neots Town and then Needham Market, for whom he played 28 times in 2019/10.

Brown was a firm favourite with Waders supporters during his four years with the club as first-choice keeper.

As well as Biggleswade, he also featured for Bedford Town, Arlesey Town, Hemel Hempstead Town, Kempston Rovers and Biggleswade FC as a player.

He was asked to help with keeper coaching when he first hung up his gloves but work commitments prevented that.
