Following discussions between management and player, Southern League Premier Division South club Tiverton Town have announced that River Allen has left Ladysmead.
The attacking midfielder has informed the management team that he is to start a new career as a trainee financial advisor and as such cannot devote the necessary time to all the travelling and commitments of the Southern Premier Division South.
The 24-year-old re-joined Tiverton in June 2019 from league rivals Truro City.
He made 13 appearances for Tivvy the previous season before moving to Treyew Road in October 2018.
Originally with Plymouth Argyle, where he made 3 senior appearances, he moved north to join Gateshead in June 2015 but by January 2016 he was back in the south west with South West Peninsula Leaguers Bodmin Town.
He signed for Truro for the first time in the summer of 2016 and, after a loan spell with Tivvy, moved to Ladysmead on a more permanent basis in July 2018.
