Taunton Bring in Former Exile

New centre-back for Peacocks.

Southern League Premier Division South club Taunton Town have signed central defender Jay Foulston from SkyBet League Two Newport County.

The 19-year-old Swansea-born player has made a total of 6 appearances internationally for Wales across under-17 and under-19 level so far in his career, scoring once.

He made two appearances for the Exiles, both in the CheckaTrade Trophy, against Chelsea under-23s and Cheltenham Town.

He also spent time on loan at Taunton`s league rivals Merthyr Town in 2018/19 and, last season with Vanarama National league South outfit Chippenham Town, where he made 25 appearances on a season-long loan ended prematurely due to COVID-19.
