Stevens Brings Taylor Back to Coalville

Youngster returns to Ravens after successful loan spell.

Southern League Premier Division Central club Coalville Town have snapped up local lad Kian Taylor on a one-year deal.

The 19-year-old joined the Ravens on loan from SkyBet League One side Shrewsbury Town in the early part of last season and quickly became a regular fixture in Adam Stevens` side.

Playing in midfield or at left-back, Taylor impressed the town faithful so much that he went on to win the 2019/20 supporters` player of the year award during the end of season lockdown 'zoom meeting'.

After his departure from Shrewsbury earlier this summer he has been a top target for Stevens, especially with the news that former left-back Scott McManus was stepping down from this level of football.

Taylor has been training with the squad for most of pre-season and featured in the game at Stafford Rangers on Tuesday night.

Despite interest from a Vanarama National North club, he has committed his future to the Ravens.
