Self Returns to Thatcham

Three more sign senior forms for Kingfishers.

Southern League Division One South club Thatcham Town have added further new players to their first-team squad.

Local lad Carl Self returns to play for the Kingfishers after several years away.

Most recently with Thames Valley Premier League side Mortimer, Self played for Thatcham`s youth team and broke into the first team ten years ago.

The 28-year-old striker or midfielder can also count Kintbury Rangers, Abingdon Town and Newbury AFC amongst his other previous clubs.

Also signing for the senior side is former development team winger Kieran Jordan.

The now 21-year-old was a key player in last year’s development squad, regularly scoring or providing assists from either flank, for a team that were in second place in the Suburban League Central Division before the season was terminated.

Another player well-known to Thatcham supporters is striker Will Frank.

He mainly played for the development side for the past two seasons and made his first-team debut against Street in a 2-1 win in the 2018/19 season.
