Ginnelly Brings in Experienced Help

Joint assistant boss announced.

Pitching In Southern League Premier Division Central club Nuneaton Borough have strengthened their management team with the appointment of Steve Hinks as joint/assistant manager.

Hinks is an experienced and respected coach with a wealth of knowledge and contacts within the Midlands non-League scene.

His list of previous clubs includes Black Country Rangers, Tamworth, Barwell, Rushall Olympic, Sutton Coldfield Town, Wolves Sporting, Halesowen Town, Coalville Town and Hinckley AFC.

He had a previous spell with Boro alongside Jimmy Ginnelly whilst the club were in the Vanarama National League North but had to leave due to personal reasons outside of the game.

Hinks told the club`s website: “I’m delighted to be back here. This is a massive non-League club with a great tradition and fan base. The minimum I am aiming for is the play-offs and we have a great chance of challenging with the quality we have in the squad. I’m a football man and this is a great club to be associated with and although I feel it is a tough league this year, we’ll get our heads down and work hard to try and achieve promotion.”

Ginnelly said: “I’m absolutely over the moon to add Steve Hinks to our backroom staff as assistant manager alongside Richard Lavery.

“Steve’s got that aura of football confidence and fantastic player management skills and that’s a massive bonus for any football club.

“He’s a first-class coach and his understanding of the game is second to none, he’s great to be around as a man who lives and breathes football. His knowledge of and contact base with players is second to none, but the best thing about Steve is he’s fantastic to be around and always makes everyone smile.

“Steve was my very first choice to come in and join me at the Boro when I first got the managers` job, unfortunately, he had to leave for personal reasons.

“But he’s back now and I’m sure the players will be as happy as me that he’s back with us”.
