Jamie Leacock, manager of Pitching In Southern League Division One South club Thatcham Town, has added 6`5” goalkeeper George Legg to his new-look squad.
The 24-year-old had taken a break from football for a season but when Leacock heard that he was looking at making a comeback, he got in contact with him and invited him down to the Stacatruc Stadium.
Legg came through Reading`s academy and regularly featured on the bench for the SkyBet Championship side.
He also enjoyed first-team experience in the Vanarama National League in loan spells with Barnet, Aldershot Town, Braintree Town and Boreham Wood.
He has already made over 100 appearances in non-League football as he has also featured on loan for Holyport, Hendon, Dunstable Town, Chesham United, Hampton & Richmond Borough, Gosport Borough and Hungerford Town during the teenage stages of his career.
Leacock has also signed 21-year-old midfielder George Smith from National League South neighbours Hungerford Town.
Smith joined the Crusaders from local side Kintbury Rangers in 2019.
He is a combative midfielder with the ability to smell danger and break things up.
And centre-back Aaron Voller has returned to the Kingfishers.
He was previously in the club`s youth team but then went off to study at Nottingham Trent University.
