Asa Charlton
Pitching In Southern League Premier Division Central club Redditch United have re-signed veteran defender Asa Charlton.
The now 42-year-old joined the Reds` league rivals Rushall Olympic in December 2018 from Halesowen Town.
His career started with Kidderminster Harriers where he came through the ranks but was unable to break into the first team at Aggborough.
Instead, he moved to Willenhall Town where his reliable displays attracted plenty of higher-level attention, with Telford United winning the race for his signature.
After spending a year in America, he returned to these shores and turned out for the likes of Stourport Swifts, Worcester City and Rushall for a short spell.
He first moved to Halesowen at the turn of 2003 and went on to become captain of the team before moving on to Redditch as the club established themselves at step two.
At the age of 29 he was given his first opportunity in professional football with a switch to League Two outfit Mansfield Town where he made a handful of appearances before returning to Telford.
He then served the likes of Redditch again, Corby Town, Worcester City, Leamington, Chasetown and Hinckley United before returning to Halesowen at the start of the 2013/14 campaign and remained there until returning to the Pics.
New Redditch boss Matt Clarke has also added Lewis Wright and Branden Horton to his squad.
Wright is a 24-year-old right-back who joined Southern Division One Central side Halesowen Town in May 2019 from Redditch`s league rivals Tamworth.
A former Birmingham City trainee, he spent time with Tividale, Solihull Moors and Hednesford Town before joining the Lambs in the summer of 2018 from Redditch.
Joining on loan from League One side Doncaster Rovers is 20-year-old Branden Horton.
A product of the youth system at Doncaster, he has looked assured when given first-team opportunities in the EFL Trophy.
The left back has had two loan spells with Northern Premier League Premier Division side Gainsborough Trinity on `work experience`.
