Chesham Add Strength to Squad

Pitching In Southern Football League Premier Division South club Chesham United have added a handful of new players to their ranks.

Billie Busari is a talented 19-year-old winger who started his career at Premier League Fulham before joining Reading’s academy.

He then joined Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division side Tring Athletic where he made 26 appearances scoring 4 goals as a 17-year-old in 2018/19.

Reece Yorke is an experienced centre-back who joins the Generals from Isthmian League South Central Division side Uxbridge.

The 28-year-old is perhaps best known for his time with Chesham`s league rivals Beaconsfield Town, where he spent three years.

A former England Schoolboy international and briefly a professional with Barnet, he re-joined Beaconsfield in December 2017 having played for SYCOB back in 2013.

A solid reliable competitor he has also been on the books at St Albans City, Northwood, Burnham, Slough Town, Metropolitan Police and Egham Town.

He joined Uxbridge in January 2020 and played 13 times before lockdown.

Chesham have also signed two goalkeepers.

Sam Beasant is the 32-year-old son of former Wimbledon and England goalkeeper Dave.

He signed for Hemel Hempstead Town from Vanarama National League South rivals Concord Rangers in June 2019.

He is well versed with both the National League South having played for Chelmsford City, Billericay Town, Maidenhead United and the National League with Braintree Town and Woking.

He also has League Two experience with Cambridge United and Stevenage.

Josh Hill is a 25-year-old New Zealand-born keeper who joins Chesham from league rivals Swindon Supermarine, where he had been since July 2017 having been a triallist at Forest Green Rovers.

After receiving his international clearance, he won his place in the starting XI and produced some excellent displays along the way.

He was previously with Hawkes Bay, Stop Out, Wairapa United and Napier Cyprus in his home country.

In addition to the new faces, the club also announced that two players from the club`s own academy have signed first team forms.

Second-year scholar Blaaze Lawrence, 17, is a talented young winger who was on the bench last season in the League Cup and came on to make his debut in the friendly against Wycombe Wanderers.

First-year scholar and young keeper, Dan Hosier, 16, will also be joining the first team keepers at training to continue his development.
