Pitching In Southern Football League Premier Division South club Harrow Borough have bolstered the defensive part of their squad with the addition of a new defender and goalkeeper.

Bradley Empson, who can operate equally well at full-back or in midfield, moves to Earlsmead from Isthmian League North Division side Hullbridge Sports.

The 20-year-old came through Isthmian Premier outfit Enfield Town`s youth set-up and was with the Watford academy for a couple of years before being released.

He spent part of the 2018/19 season on loan at Hertford Town and then moved to Hullbridge Sports in July 2020 after a spell in the USA with East Tennessee State University Buccaneers.

He made 5 appearances for Sports this season, including one in the Buildbase FA Trophy.

Ryan Schmid is a tall, well-built keeper who began his career with League Two Stevenage, where he played in their academy for four seasons before playing for Leverstock Green.

After a spell with Kings Langley, the 21-year-old joined Southern Division One Central side Welwyn Garden City in the summer of 2019.

He moved to league rivals Bedford Town in February 2020 in a swap deal and then, after a short stint with Potton United, signed for Vanarama National League South side Braintree Town in the summer of 2020.
