The Pitching In Southern Football League lost another club from the Buildbase FA Trophy on Sunday as Division One Central outfit Aylesbury United were beaten 4-2 at the Meadow by Isthmian League Premier Division side Margate.
It was the Ducks who took a 10th-minute lead when a Max Hercules cross was slotted home by Harry Jones.
Ten minutes later – and slightly against the run of play – Gate equalised when new signing from Dartford, striker Norman Wabo, netted from close range.
And it was Wabo who gave his team the lead just 3 minutes into the second half when he was allowed to run a long way without challenge to slot past Aylesbury `keeper Jack Hopwood.
But it was all-square again on 66 minutes when Jones grabbed his second of the game in style, curling a shot into the top corner past visiting number one Bailey Vose.
Eleven minutes later though it was the Kent side who went 3-2 ahead with a goal from Noel Leighton.
And it was former Millwall and Dagenham & Redbridge striker Leighton who killed off the Ducks with his second and Margate`s fourth.
