Hawks Take Advantage of Poole Inactivity

Havant & Waterlooville take Dolphins striker during lockdown.

Vanarama National League South club Havant & Waterlooville have become the latest to take advantage of the inactivity of the Step 3 clubs by signing striker Tony Lee from Pitching In Southern Football League Premier Division South side Poole Town on dual registration.

Lee has signed terms with the Hawks until the end of the campaign or until the Southern League season recommences.

The 24-year-old has had a well-travelled career to date – many of the moves being loans.

He signed for Wimborne Town in May 2019 from Southern Premier South rivals Gosport Borough in August 2018.

He had been with Gosport before, back in December 2015 when on loan from Eastleigh, where he had come through the club`s academy.

As well as Boro, he had loan spells with AFC Totton, Poole, Whitehawk and Cirencester Town whilst on the Spitfires` books before joining Gosport again, this time on a more permanent basis, in January 2017.

He moved to Poole six months later and then briefly to Weymouth before re-joining Boro.

He was Wimborne’s top scorer in the curtailed 2019/20 season and then signed for Poole in the summer of 2020.
