Surprisingly, relatively few managerial changes occurred during the 1992/93 season in the Southern Midland Division.
Tamworth were hoping that former Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Sammy Chung would bring them the success their support deserved, but he suffered the sack in early February 1993.
Chung was replaced briefly as caretakers by former boss Alan Hampton and Dave Seedhouse until Paul Wood was appointed in March 1993.
Newly promoted Weston-super-Mare changed managers, although when John Ellener decided to stand down in December 1992, the club appointed his assistant Peter Amos as his successor, thus maintaining continuity.
Grantham Town boss Bob `Don` Duncan became one of the many to suffer a budget cut and he left in January 1993 to be replaced by the former Harrowby United manager Alan O`Meara, an ex-Scunthorpe United goalkeeper who switched to playing in midfield in non-League football!
The division at the time had six managers who played in the Football League.
Racing Club Warwick`s Andy Blair (left) won five Scottish under-21 caps during a playing career which took in over 200 appearances with Coventry City, Aston Villa and Sheffield Wednesday.
Newport AFC`s John Relish spent his playing days in the Third and Fourth Divisions with Chester City and Newport County and played over 300 times.
Nuneaton Borough had only recently appointed John Barton as their new manager and the former Everton full-back, who cost the Toffees a then-record non-League fee of £27,000 when he moved from Worcester City to Goodison Park in 1978.
Redditch United`s Paul Hendrie was a busy little winger with Birmingham City, Bristol Rovers, Halifax Town and Stockport County and also had a spell in the North American Soccer League with Portland Timbers.
Prior to becoming Redditch`s manager, he was with Midland Combination side Chelmsley Town as player-coach.
Although Bedworth United manager Brendan Phillips (right) made around 20 League appearances with Mansfield Town and Peterborough United, he will probably be best remembered as being one of the best midfield players in non-League football when winning four England semi-professional international caps during the late 70s and early 80s.
The other manager who tasted League football is Stourbridge`s John Chambers, who made 9 first-team appearances for Aston Villa and Southend United.
