Pat was a defender who was good enough to have made 78 appearances in the Football League for his first club, Peterborough United, and then Cambridge United.
He first joined Corby Town in the Southern League Premier Division in November 1986 and was appointed as the Steelmen`s player-manager in October 1994 but was unable to prevent them from being relegated.
Then, having been sacked as manager in November 1995, it came as somewhat of a surprise when he was re-signed as a player almost exactly a year later!
In between time he had turned out for Stamford in the United Counties League, Kettering Town in the Conference and for both Raunds Town and Chelmsford City in the Southern League.
He later managed Spalding United but has fallen out of love with the modern game rather and is no longer involved.

Best Game Played In?
My professional debut for Peterborough United against Sheffield United in front of 24,000 having just turned 17 and playing away at Millwall at the old Den. The atmosphere was pure hostility and George Graham was their manager and I scored!
Best 11 Played With?
I’m going to pick this solely from my 10 years at Corby Town.

Funniest Team-Mate or Moment?
Played away at Woking and the gaffer announced the team and a certain individual took his tracksuit off and he was wearing a basque, stockings and suspenders priceless! He will remain nameless, but if he reads this, hold your head in shame mate!
Best Mate in Football?
Danny Hussey and Marcus Ebdon
Are You Still Involved in the Game?
No. I don’t want to be involved in the modern game and have turned down managerial and coaching positions.

Love playing football in all aspects, training, working hard and listening to the people around you and most importantly let your performance on the pitch speak for you.
