Focus On….Andy Hall

Series continues on players who have spent some of their careers as a player or manager in the Southern League.

Andy, known to his team-mates as `Trigger`, is best known as a winger but can also play in a more central role.

It`s been an agonising last couple of years for him, however, having been out of the game with knee problems which caused him to undergo a long-awaited operation in 2020.

He started out with Coventry City as a youth and then embarked on his non-League travels with Kettering Town.

He helped both Kettering and Stamford to achieve promotion from Step 4 to Step 3, with spells at Halesowen Town, Hinckley United, Corby Town and Nuneaton Town sandwiched between.

As well as two spells with both the Poppies and the Daniels, he also featured for Kings Lynn Town, Rugby Town, AFC Rushden & Diamonds and more recently United Counties League sides Desborough Town, Sileby Rangers and Wellingborough Town, for whom he made only a handful of appearances before his injury prevented hm from playing.

However, at the age of 35, Andy is determined to play on once the pandemic allows now that he is over is operation and has been keeping as fit as possible on his own.
