Sean Joyce, manager of Pitching In Southern Football League Division One South club Bideford AFC, has announced that forward Lewis Wilson will be joining them on a permanent basis from League Two neighbours Exeter City for the 2021/22 season.

Wilson originally joined Bideford on loan from the Grecians in August 2020, scheduled to return in January 2021, although, of course, the global pandemic restricted him to a handful of appearances, although he impressed, scoring his first senior goal against Thatcham Town in a 2-2 draw back in October 2020.

The 19-year-old was a first-year professional at St James`s Park, having signed his first contracts in June 2020.

Wilson is a centre-forward who had been at Exeter since he was 9 and was top scorer for the under-18s in 2019/20.
