Weston-super-Mare AFC have announced the signing of winger Jordan Bastin from Pitching In Southern Football League Premier Division South rivals Tiverton Town.
The 24-year-old joined Tiverton Town in July 2019 from cross-town South West Peninsula League neighbours Elmore where he scored an incredible 45 goals in 2018/19 and as a result, he had plenty of sides keen to capture him that summer.
His amazing campaign culminated with winning the supporters`, players` and managers` player of the year award as well as the `golden boot`.
He began his career in the Exeter City and Plymouth Argyle youth set-ups before he rose to prominence with Tiverton`s under-18 and reserve sides before moving away in search of first team action.
Manager Scott Bartlett told his club`s website: “Jordan is a really good signing for us, we had to work hard to get him because there was so much competition, and we are delighted to have him.
“He is an attacking player with good pace, an aggressive runner with the ball who can beat a man and cross a ball. He works his socks off and can play on either wing or up front and has a good goal and assists ratio.
“We have tried to sign him twice before, but it didn’t quite happen, he was loyal to Tiverton who treated him well and I liked that.
“He is one of the best around and is a brilliant signing for us”.
