International Returns to Hednesford

Striker back to where it all began.

Gibraltar international striker Reece Styche has re-joined Pitching In Southern Football league Premier Division Central club Hednesford Town.

The experienced and well-travelled 31-year-old returns to Keys Park from Northern Premier League Premier Division side Buxton, who he signed for in June 2020 from the Pitmen`s league rivals Bromsgrove Sporting.

Styche had joined Brendan Kelly`s Sporting side in February 2020.

He began his career at Hednesford, going on to have spells at Grantham Town, Coalville Town, Shepshed Dynamo and Chasetown.

His goalscoring record came into fruition at Forest Green Rovers where he scored 35 goals in 108 appearances between 2010 and 2014.

Further spells at Wycombe Wanderers and Kidderminster Harriers followed as well as Macclesfield Town and Gateshead.

He was then loaned to Nuneaton Borough during the 2016/17 season before moving to Tamworth in the summer of 2017 ahead of the 2017/18 campaign, where he scored 10 goals.

A switch to Darlington came in November of the same season, and he went on to finish the 2017/18 campaign with 21 league goals.

He joined Alfreton Town from their National League North rivals for an undisclosed fee in October 2018 and then moved to league rivals Hereford FC in May 2019.

Styche possesses 13 international caps for Gibraltar and one for England C.
