Wimborne Bring in Beale

New forward signs for Magpies.

Wimborne Town have announced the signing of forward Lewis Beale and the retention of striker Jake Sinclair, who has agreed to terms to remain with the Pitching In Southern Football League Premier Division South club for 2021/22.

Twenty-year-old Beale has come through the ranks at Vanarama National League side Eastleigh, making his first-team debut in 2018/19 and then scoring his first senior goal against Matlock Town in the Spitfires’ 2-1 Buildbase FA Trophy Second Round success in January 2020.

Portsmouth-born Beale spent two loan spells with Sydenhams Football League (Wessex) One side US Portsmouth.

He scored 13 goals in 24 league and cup appearances in 2017/18, while he netted a further 16 goals in 21 outings the following season.

He ended the 2018/19 campaign as US Portsmouth’s joint leading marksman with 12 goals.

He has also played higher up in the non-League Pyramid in 2019/20 with loan spells at AFC Totton, for whom he scored 5 times in 11 Southern Division One South appearances and 4 goals in 9 games for Wimborne`s league rivals Metropolitan Police before spending a month with the Magpies from September to October 2020, making 4 appearances and scoring 2 goals.

Sinclair, 26, signed for Wimborne in July 2020.

The younger brother of former Celtic and current Preston North End winger Scott Sinclair, he started his career with Premier League Southampton.

He was with the Saints from the age of 8 and made his senior debut in August 2013 against Barnsley at Oakwell in the League Cup.

In September 2014, he joined Scottish Championship club Hibernian on a season-long loan but made only a handful of appearances.

On his return to St Mary`s, he was released by the Saints in June 2015.

After a short break from the game, he made a comeback with Frome Town in December 2015 and the following August, he joined Hereford FC.

He re-joined Frome and then turned out for Mangotsfield United.
