Jonny Herd
Jimmy Dean, manager of Pitching In Southern Football League Premier Division South club Peterborough Sports, has announced that several of his squad from last season have agreed to remain at The Bee Arena for 2021/22.
Goalkeepers Lewis Moat, who joined in 2016 from Whittlesey Athletic, and former Deeping Rangers and Peterborough United custodian Lewis Elsom have both committed to Sports.
Defenders Jonny Herd, Richard Jones and Matty Miles, midfielders Josh McCammon and Dan Jarvis and forwards Josh Moreman, Jordan Nicholson and Dion Sembie-Ferris have also put pen-to-paper.
Herd joined in Sports` Step 4 title-winning season but picked up a bad injury and was subsequently ruled out for the following season.
Last season he returned and showed exceptional form in the run to the Buildbase FA Trophy last sixteen.
Jones is the skipper and fans` favourite, who is about to start his sixth season with Sports, while Miles arrived at Sports in November 2019 from league rivals Biggleswade Town, having previously been with St Neots Town and Leicester City.
McCammon is a very talented player who signed for the club during the 2017/18 season from Northampton Town, while former Peterborough United, Deeping Rangers and Yaxley man Jarvis joined Sports in the summer of 2020.
Josh Moreman
Moreman is about to go into his seventh season with Sports and has played across four different levels for the club.
The experienced Nicholson signed for the club in September 2020 and can count Peterborough United, Nuneaton Borough, Barnet, Brackley Town, Darlington, Hereford FC and Boston United amongst his previous clubs.
Top marksman Sembie-Ferris enters his fourth season in a Sports shirt and is the current Southern Premier Division Central player of the season.
